Pumpkin pie is my favorite pie in the whole wide world...even better,it was sugar free,and whole grain,and organic(:

Disclaimer-Dont read this if yucky birth details offend you-just sayin

So Lucy's birth story...well,i did the impatient thing and took castor oil.I wasnt desperate or anything,but bek did it with madeline at 39 weeks,and went into labor and had a baby a couple hours later.So i read up about it,and its basically just a way to induce labor a little more naturally.Most article just said if your body is ready to go into labor,and you take it,you will,but if not,you'll get the runs,and after being pregnant and constipated for 9 months straight,the runs dont seem like the worst thing either.So i made myself a nice castor oil milkshake,only added 2 tbls,and that was fri late afternoon.So my labor started a few hours later,and before long my contractions were only a minute or two apart.So we dropped mckinley off and called the midwife,and headed for the hospital.I was fairly certain i would have the baby that night.At the hospital,I labored halfway through the night,and they ended up sending me home because i wasnt dialating...all those contractions,and i was still at 1 cm.So we left(against my will)and went and walked around Walmart for few hours.My contractions kept getting stronger and I was getting exhausted,but afraid to go home...So my midwife told me to go back to the hospital and have them check me again,they kept me till about 3 in the morning,and sent me packing,because although i was still contracting,i still wasnt dialating.About that time,i was kinda sorry i had taken the castor oil.I went home,and tried to sleep,and was pretty much in hard labor the rest the night,and kinda terrified i was gonna have the baby in the bed at home.Finally after shaking all night and resting very little in between,i got up around 7am and called my midwife again.I told her i was still in hard labor,and when i had gotten up that morning,i had lost my mucus plug.
She told me to come in (trip 3 to the hospital,in 1 night!)and checked me again,and low and behold,I was at 3 cm!I was so glad...i labored awhile longer,and then BAM! around 11 am,my contractions just stopped.they refused to induce me,since i was quite 39 weeks(i had a day and a half till i was!),and sent me home.So the moral of the story,castor oil works,but it can wear off,and labor might stop.rats.

So nothing happened that day,i got some sleep,had a few contractions here and there,and on Sunday i was miserable becasue baby had engaged,and then nothing!So i said forget this,im halfway there!And what do you think i did?YES.I had me some more tasty castor oil.went back to the hospital,spent another evening in labor,and NOTHING happened.CRAZY.Well,by the time we left,i was 75% effaced,but had only dialated to 3 and a half...and then it all stopped. AGAIN.So I suffered through monday...and went into labor again on monday night,it stopped again on tuesday morning,and i was able to get some more sleep.

On Tueday,the 13th of September,I went in for my doc appointment,and Mary Beth check me and said i was at about a 4 and did a cervical sweep(which ill never do again)to get my contractions going...then we went and walked around fred meyers for a few hours because she said if i could keep my contractions going,she would break my water once i was admitted So after walking and wearing myself out for a few hours,i was having strong steady contrctions every since seeing her that morning,except every time i sat down,they would slow down again.So i was like,'NO WAY AM I STOPPING NOW',so what do i do,i go and buy more cstor oil,add it to a smoothie,and head for the hospital...by the time i got there,they ckecked me,and got my epidural in,i was transitioning and had her a few hours ltr.Hallelujah!(:

So next time im pretty sure ill just let things happen naturally because with both my girls i have been induced,and i dont think my body likes it.Seems like i just made it alot harder on myself than it needed to be...but at least i know now...castor oil does work,but who wouldve thunk it could STOP working right in the middle of everything???thanx bek...ya little jerk (j/k)

Right as she was crowning,the nurse asked if i wanted to feel her,so josh took my hand and put it on her furry wet little head,and it was the craziest feeling ever...

and then the gave her to me and i just started crying,,,so did josh but dont tell him i told

such an angry little elf...but only when she's naked...other than that she's very sweet...and once she figured out in about 3 seconds that her life revolved around eating,she's been happy ever since

Hallelujah,Im not pregnant anymore!(: I had my little Lucy Jane last Tuesday,at 39 weeks and 2 days...this picture was taken the day a had her...a little tired in the face as i had been in labor off and on since the previous Friday.

So I'm in my 38th weeks of pregnancy,right about the time I delivered McKinley,and Doc said today after she checked me that things seem to be progressing this week...HALLELUJAH!Im feeling like Lucy could arrive any day.I'm incredibly tired of being pregnant,and ready to hold little girl in my arms...several of my friends have had thier babies in the last few weeks,and it makes it REALLY hard to wait my turn...but wait i must(: sigh (:

After our doc aptmt today,me and chub took daddy out on a coffee date to barns and noble,(he got to pay though...hehehe)and i had a spiced chai latte,he had a coconut mocha frappachina,and chub had a "chub coffee"(hot chocolate).We had fun...we always do.these two are so nutty together.

Heres a cool plant laurel gave me...i just bought this pot and repotted it for my empty corner in my upstairs den...i needed a plant for this corner anyways,so it worked out really nice(:

Josh has been on leave for a little while and has been getting some fall projects done...last week he fell a bunch of trees and made room for the yard we are putting in next year,and built us a big gnarly trash box outside...right now he's working on building a hearth for our pellet stove,and its turning out pretty nice...not sure why it looks like he's missing a bunch of teeth in this silly picture,assure you,he's not...(:

Laurel actually gave me a few plants as a housewarming gift a few weeks ago,and she started this one for my...which is awesome cuz i needed a viney type plant for my bookcase(:

He called me a few months ago and asked me to pray for him because he was SUPER nervous and had been waiting to ask her out for a long time apparently.They go to the same church,and have been friends for about a year now.She said yes,and now they are engaged shortly thereafter...The big day is set for 3 short months from now,and we are hoping to make it to their wedding in November.I wish them all the best,and a happily ever after!(:

We busted down to ninilchik last week for a few days to visit our lovely in-laws and made it in time for papa's birthday...we had a great time visiting for a few days,we were there thurs-sun and wouldve stayed longer if Josh hadnt had work stuff scheduled on Monday.McKinley followed Nana around "helping" her with everything,especially the cooking,whether she wanted it or not(:
Shes very nosy and bossy,as Nana soon found out,but they seemed to enjoy their time together.

35 Weeks Pregnant - Week by Week Pregnancy Calendar

Approx. 5 weeks left to run this race...the pregnancy race...man it takes alot of patience...patience through the bodily pain...patience through the mental strain...mostly now im just impatient to meet my little Lucy.Even though these last few weeks are flying day,the days seem to creep...its so weird...

These past 2 weeks have been particularly trying,not having my husband around...i lean on him greatly for emotional support,and look forward to his weekends so that i can have a repreive from the stress of being pregnant AND dealing with a two year old wild child.As soon as he goes on his weekend,i feel myself relax and thoroughly enjoy his days off.BUT he worked 5 nights straight,and then left for his sheep hunt almost a week ago...so i havnt seen him for about two weeks now,and the LORD has given me an amazing strength and patience through it all...i have even felt better the last few weeks than i have in months,and i know its the Lord's help in a difficult time.Josh should be home in the next few days,and i can hardly wait.

When he gets home he will be off work for awhile,maybe even until the baby comes,and once she comes he will be home with me for two weeks after...the Lord has been working things out and i THANK HIM for blessing me this way.Its been a long hard summer,and our little family is definetly ready for some relaxation and family time(:

AT THE FAIR

We went to the fair the first day,and josh was sposed to go with us,but had been working so much overtime he hadnt gotten much sleep...so he met up with us later on but didnt stay long becasause he was in uniform...we were bummed,but had lots of fun anyways...

She discovered Dippin Dots,and hasnt stopped chattering about them since...she loves all things icecream...hmmm...must be in the bloodline(:

We stopped to listen to some singers performing a show...mostly just because the mamma needed a rest,but she really enjoyed the music,although i wasnt real impressed with it...hehehe

Then we went a week ltr on a fri night while the daddy was gone hunting and Auntie Tori met us there...she did me a favor and helped Mac on the rides,with was nice for the preggo(: gave me a chance to sit down for a minute(: Mckinley LOVES carosels and rode it three different times...

She also loved the giant slide...Auntie Tori got her workout that night hiking up that thing several times!

And once again,on the carosel...this time with Ashley...she met up with us for a few mintutes and played some games and rides with us while Tori went and rode some rides with her Bro, Foster ,for a few minutes(it was his 14th birthday!)

I fell in love with these headbands at the fair on Saturday and thought about them all week till i finally went back and bought one after showing Tori and her agreeing that i definetly needed it(:

Then i really spoiled myself and got a matching necklace...the lady that makes this stuff has new items every year that i fall in love with,but she's a bit pricey so i never end up getting anything and always regret it...not this year though!(: I will get my moneys worth out or these,i garuntee it!(: Plus its kinda great since im hating my hair right now...im growing it out,and its at an akward stage and i needed something cute to get me through it so i can wear it up more till it gets longer and i like it better(: Thats my story and im sticking to it ;P

I think baby must be dropping a little...ive had a little easier time breathing this week(Thankyou Lord!) and a few stretch marks have begun to appear.... that must meaan something. ugh. stretchmarks.I guess i should be thankful i dont get them till the end,and they arent very bad. My little Lucy will be worth a few stretchmarks i suppose(: 6 weeks till her due date!!! yay!!!

Pregnancy Calendar Week 34: "Your amazing baby is on the move!
Until now, your wee womb-squatter's been living fairly high up in your poor stretched-out womb - blithely compressing your poor lungs and internal organs.
This week your baby's going to pack their tiny bags and make the 'big' move to your pelvis - commonly referred to as the time when your baby 'drops'.
If you haven’t noticed it already, you’ll be feeling the weight shift indicating your baby is most likely out of breech position (if they're being stubborn, check out 17 Ways To Turn a Breech Baby) with their head now resting on your pubic bone.
When baby drops this may also give you some horrific stabbing back pain as they press on your sciatic nerve.
If that's the case, get off your feet and try to do some spine-lengthening stretches to help your baby move OFF that poor throbbing nerve.
In developing internal-organ news: although not quite fully formed, your little poop-factory's liver is now capable of processing a certain amount of waste.
Because your baby's liver is not quite birth-ready, it's common for newborns to get a case of mild and harmless jaundice (signaled by a slight yellowing of the skin).
Jaundice is the result of your baby's body producing more bilirubin (a by-product of blood production) than the liver can currently breakdown, leading to a subtle yellow tinge that goes away in a few days.
Babies born earlier than their due date tend to have moderate to severe jaundice, which - in the hospital, will be treated via light therapy to help their body break the bilirubin down.
For home-birthers, jaundice is easily dealt with by increased breastfeeding (to help their body pass the bilirubin) and 'naked time' for baby in a warm sunlit area for 10 minute intervals throughout the day until it disappears."

The week we moved into our new house,the bunnies ate all my broccoli,little meanies...

They started getting after my lettuce,but i got everything up high so they couldnt reach it...
My lettuce is pretty much all picked,and we have IMMENSELY enjoyed it the past few months...i got a good cut off of it every week.

my fancy lettuce and spinach didnt ever do much and have now died off ...

This is my one awesome bell pepper thats been growing for a month now,its about half grown...it was the cutest ever when it was a baby...it tried despertly to put on a few more,but i think we just lost our sunshine way to early this year.Drat.

I have two awesome banana peppers ready to be picked,just gotta figure out what to do with them...guess i need to make some fajitas or something...

I have quite a few peas just from the past two weeks,and they are all growing like crazy...dont know how much longer they will put on,but some are almosy ready to be picked.

For some reason my tomato plant started dying when we moved,and after i finally revived it,it finally grew one whopping tomato...its still green and fuzzy,but its growing(: McKinley says were gonna share it...it might be the best plan cuz she and I love us some tomatoes...I just dont think it ever got hot enough for tomatoes this year...we had very little sunshine in July.

Even though we only had a few garden successes this year,we sure had fun trying.McKinley was so excited to help me water every night,and it was a great bonding experience if nothing else...it'll be fun to plant a bigger garden next year,and tend a greenhouse with my little helper.

Gettin ready for baby...

Since little Lucy is due in apprxmtly 6 weeks,i have been trying to work on a few things to prepare for her arrival...So today I focused on setting the baby room up a bit,organizing clothes,etc...seeings how we just moved,the baby room hasnt exactly been a priority...but now that the rest of the house is pretty much in order(with the exception of my craft room),its time to tackle it...it shouldnt take too long,but i cnt do much at a time right now,so i have to take the tasks in stages...

after working on her room a bit,i tackled one of my sewing projects,and made a new boppy,or tummy time pillow...my mom had just left me some left-over fleece she had made mckinley a blanket out of,so that came in handy...i didnt even have to buy fabric!(:

My next project will be to make my diaper bag...i already purchased a cute pattern,and Cady Mills and i have a girls day planned for this thursday to hit joannes and pick out some fabric.Im so excited to spend the day with my friend Cady and baby Noah...they havnt seen my new house yet,so itll be fun to give them the tour(:

These are the outfits that McKinley and I picked out for the hospital and welcoming little Lucy into the world...we figured she deserved something new even though she has an entire wardrobe handed down from her sister(: So we splurged a little on these,pretty much the only thing ive bought for her, come to think of it!McKinley was SO incredibly excited about these...

and while we were organizing baby clothes today we ran across some stuff for Mac to try on too...she was pretty excited about trying her snowpants on and wore them all afternoon...she talked about winter and snow and sledding nonstop all day...itll be here soon enough little girl.

7 weeks and 5 days to go...

these last few weeks are going fast....hallelujah!i am getting a little more excited everyday to have my new little girl in my arms...theres this excitement you have thinking about a new baby when you decide to get pregnant,and while trying,but once you ARE pregnant it kinda dies off for awhile amidst all the hormones and emotional ups and downs,and the physical aches and pains,and the long wait in general....until about...now(: the excitement is coming back now that im seeing the end,and the reality of her arrival is right around the corner.All I can think about now is that magical moment when i get to see and meet her for the first time,and that special feeling you get while bonding with a brand new baby.Theres nothing in the world that can compare to that feeling...the pride and love you feel as you show her off,and the sweet little moments that you have to savor because they grow so fast.

32 weeks in this picture-taken on Monday,i was all dolled up cuz Josh was taking me out for a date day(: we went to the movies(first time weve done that all year)and saw CAPTAIN AMERICA (great movie,and very clean!)and he took me to lunch at the Bamboo Panda...one of our fvorites we hadnt been there all year either!We've been very busy this summer and very focused on NOT spending extra money,so it was really nice.Then today we went to the furniture store and picked out the most awesome dining set that we have been waiting forever to buy,and we will pick it up in the next few weeks(: It was so fun,the first furniture we've ever picked out brand new,for our awesome new house we are having so much fun decorating(:

Mckinleys long-awaited jacuzzi bath with heidi...she couldnt convince heidi to get in with her...but she sure had fun swimmin while heidi soaked her feet...she was SO excited,you shouldve heard the whoopin and hollering and singing coming from my master bathroom that night...she was out of control excited and kept heidi in stitches...

I plan to get a big tropical flowery-bamboo-y type picture to put above the jacuzzi bath...

Slowly but steadily i have been conquering my decorationg projects ...i will be posting them as i get them finished...this week i worked on McKinleys bedroom.

She has blue carpet(through the entire house)so we couldnt get TOO girly but i had already decided a springy flower birdy type theme would be cuter anyways...were not really pinky-purpley princessy type girls anyhow.

I had found this cute little plack at HOBBY LOBBY in texas back in January,and had been saving it for her room...

the wooden flowers i picked up at a garage sale this summer for a dollar...this is above her closet door.

then at Joannes this past week Heidi and I stumbled upon a bunch of clearance frames and cute little birdies....they fit right in...now i just have to get some pics in them...perhaps some pictures of cousins will look nice.

we found this cute new quilt at freds for ten bucks on sale,and it happens to be just the size for her new toddler bed that lance and dana gave us(thankyou!)i was gonna make her a new quilt,but she loved this one and so did i(: some more cute wallhangings from joannes....also on clearance...we lucked out!they all matched our theme!!!i think we need to find a colorful border to put around the top of the room now to draw it all together.

I didnt update earlier this week,so i figured i would post my next update since im between weeks...ill be 32 weeks on monday,so heres whats goin on...

definetly had alot of contractions and cramping the past week or two,and doc says im liable to go into labor early again...im just trying to take it easy from here on out,so teeny tiny doesnt come TOO early...im not worried,its just been a really challenging month physically with the move and all,but now that we're in the new house,i can go at my own pace.

I'm so ready to have this girl and get back to feeling better,not to mention im just really excited to meet my new little one and see what she looks like!McKinley is incredibly excited too,and i cant wait to see how she reacts to having a sister...i know she's gonna love it(:

...TOMORROW!!!yay!!!im so excited(: But I think McKinley might be even more excited than me if its possible.And im pretty stoked.

For a two year old,she has quite the imagination.She has talked all week about all the plans she has for Heidi while she is here.Apparently,she is taking Heidi to the lake to play in the water, she is convinced she and Heidi will be spending most of their time in the Jacuzzi bath together,(i already advised Heidi to pack a swimsuit),and she has nature-walking/flower picking on the menu as well.Every time someone rings the doorbell,she thinks its Heidi.Every time we make plans to do anything,she is convinced Heidi will be there.She constantly asks me if she can go to Dillingham.

McKinley is going to be one happy camper tomorrow when Heidi arrives.Its gonna be a fun week for sure(:

I will be 30 weeks on Monday.Hallelujah!Even though im dreading the actual birthing process,Im so glad there is an end in sight.10 weeks sounds like a long way to go,but there is an end in sight now,and the countdown is on...im in the last quarter of this race,and i know that every day is getting me closer to the mark,when i will meet my 2nd daughter.i can hardly wait to hold her.She is such a wild one already,she rarely stops wiggling,and i have a feeling she's gonna be just as energetic as McKinley.Lord have mercy.

Ive recently stopped my running(sad face),due to the move,and have decided im done for this pregnancy.I ran through 2 trimesters,and feel like my body benefitted from it greatly...until now.My body has definetly been overworked these last few weeks and I feel its time to rest more now.Im gonna continue with my weight-lifting,and have been doing some yoga here and there,and am enjoying it immensly.its very relaxing which is what i need right now,but a little different and challenging too...in ways differnt than my usual full-throttle workouts(: I really need to be out walking and bike riding more now that my running is on hold,and plan to enjoy the outdoors for whats left of our summer!

we are finally moved into our new house and got our internet up and running today...FINALLY...stupid holiday weekend!i had to wait an extra 3 days for it...INCONCEIVABLE!hope to be posting some pictures again soon,and often!theres lots to post about,like my new castle,an upcoming visit from my little sister,the moose-eaten broccoli...but all in due time.

just a quick update,i am between 29 and 30 weeks now,and am SO ready to be done and have this baby in my arms and out of my belly...i officially hate being pregnant and hate moving when im pregnant even more.bah-humbug to all you people that claim to love being pregnant.if God meant for it to be fun,it wouldn't have been included in the curse.

I was so amped up to have a garden this year...dad was gonna give me a couple rows to plant but when we decided to buy a house mid-summer,my dreams were crushed!!!!Not really....(: but it wouldnt have worked to plant at the aptmt or the house,cuz either way,i couldnt have taken care of it like i needed because we are moving into the house in July...So i created a little portable garden on my porch,thanx to my dad supplying me some awesome pots to plant in...so heres what my porch looks like right now!(: isnt it great? i think so(:

If any of you like to bake with spelt,you know it can be tricky to find great recipe's,and even trikier to alter regular recipe's,but ive been doing it long enough that i have a small collection of really great one's now...this is my latest,and i am so impressed...first i made this recipe with pumpkin,and it was a big hit,then i treid it again with bananas,blueberries,and apples....all came out delicous i was really impressed...i also added organic dark chocolate chips to the pumkin and banana muffins,and coconut to the banana also...amazing results...theres a little bit of brown sugar in the base batter,but other than that,SUPER healthy,tasty,and very versatile!!!

I also have some great recipe's for spelt pizza crust,pie crust,,and homade bread...ive tried a zillion spelt bread recipes,and finally found a winner, which can also be used for rolls and cinnamon rolls...if anybody is interested in any one these,let me know and ill post them!!!

It took us the better part of the afternoon/evening to fourwheel into the camp spot...we took the old trail on the way in,kinda by accident,and were 4wheeling through mud and tundra most the way...it was pretty rough and we were SO tired by the time we got there...the last quarter mile was the worst,when we took the wrong turn and sunk the trailers and wheelers in mud and couldnt get them out...then it started pouring rain,so me and jenn took the kids and hiked out up to the cabins while the guys tried to get the wheelers out...they ended up hauling all of our soaked gear up by fourwheelers,and left the trailers till morning.we were all starving and soaked,so we got a fire blazing to dry out,and made yummy burgers...then we were all sweltering cuz it got too hot in the tiny cabin,and couldnt get the woodstove to cool off so we opened all the windows,which helped it stay cooler,but let all the mosquitoes in all night to torture and feast on us...yes you guessed it...screenless windows.wonder of wonders.when it finally cooled off at around 4 in the morning,(nobody had been able to sleep at all,not even the babies)we finally got up and closed the windows and spent half an hour killing the hoards of mosquitos and were able to get a few hours of sleep.Jenn and I got up around 8 with the kids and fed them breakfast,while these 3 sloths below moaned and groaned through another hour of comatose sleep.

ITS OFFICIAL. We are buying a house.Despite the fact that we want to leave Alaska,and probably will in the next few years,we have decided to invest.Also,my brother just built a beautiful 5 bedroom,2 story home that he needs to get rid of fast since he just got accepted into the military,and he made us an offer we couldnt refuse.

We are moving in July.Again.But this time its different,because its OURS(: Pretty exciting(:

The Lord has blessed us tremendously,and we cant deny it.Nor do we deserve it.We are so thankful for this opportunity accept for the fact that Phil and Jenn will be leaving us at the end of the year.But im not thinking about that now.I know they are doing what God wants,impossible doors have been opened to them,but im hate the thought of losing another sibling.He's actually my last sibling left in Fairbanks,and the thought of them leaving makes my heart hurt.

I cant believe Josh and I will be the last Alaskans standing in our family.Of course our parents are still in the state,but Josh's live so far away we hardly get to see them,and who knows what my parents will do if they get their house to sell this year.Its just crazy to think about.'

Anyways,our new house is incredible,we are going to get to landscape it ourselves,which im pretty excited about,and we have about 2 acres of land to play with.I have virtually no furniture to fill the house with,so the prospect of having all that room to slowly fill the house the way i like is pretty cool.I see some trips to Anchorage and Pier One Imports in our future(: We will have a two car garage,(already dubbed "josh's mancave") and huge garden plot/greenhouse area(HOORAY!!!) and a lot of extra room for whatever...sheds...a yard...whatever we want(:
It's really overwhelming to think about right now,but the possibilities are pretty incredible.
I even have a walk-in closet and jacuzzi tub in my master bathroom(: how cool is that!(:
Not only are there 5 bedroom upstairs,(so i get a craft room!) theres a huge den/family room in the middle of it all,besides the regular living room downstairs!(:I have a giant Kitchen with more couterspace and cabinets than i could ever use,adjacent to a beautiful carpeted living room and carpeted staircase.The whole upstairs also has beautiful blue carpet,so my decorating ideas are to stick to earthtones accected by blue.

I cant thank Phil and Jenn enough for this opportunity,because it wouldnt be possible without their generosity.We have an amazing family,thats for sure.Im sure its not easy to give up such a beautiful new home after building it yourself and only getting to live in it a few months,but at the same time I know how excited they are about doing the Lord's work no matter the cost.They are an incredible family,and we have learned so much from them.I will miss my bro and sis in law more than they will ever know.And my boys.sigh.I better stop before the tears start....i can cry after they leave,at least i have them here till the end of the year.Phil leaves for basic in the fall,and they should get their orders around Christmas time.

Well there are big changes ahead,all good and full of the Lord's blessings,and I covet your prayers during the next few months as it all happens.

Running at 23 weeks...

...is not easy at all!..nor is it fun,most of the time.all weekend ive been telling the J-Dawg i think im almost done running for this pregnancy...im losing my desire,and since my run has turned into more of a waddle at this point,im thinkin power walking sounds more fun.

THEN i pushed myself out for a run in the beautiful sun this afternoon,and had the most fabulous time!So im like,can i give up yet?that was the best run ive had in weeks!what if i stop now and in a few weeks i regret it but its too late to start again?then id be kicking myself!

My original goal was to try to make it to the end of my second trimester,which is in just a few more weeks...wk 27 i think?...so i think ill keep at it for now,even though im more of a waddler than a runner.

what do you people think?should i keep going?should i end my own misery?should i try to break some records?(: any thoughts or opinions? does anybody else hate/love excercising whilst pregnant???

if nothing else,i definetly love the endorphines...i would hate to give those up now,being all moody and stuff from hormones...i always feel a thousand times btr at least after a good workout.im not sure i can live without running for 3 more months ,plus a month after baby comes....thats a whole lot of not running im not sure i could handle!

i say,bring on the pavement...at least until i forget i had a good run and have another hard one...harharhar(:

this was a wicked hard 5k....it was half uphill,half downhill...almost kilt me.im not gonna lie...i only ran about half way and then mostly walked...it was beastly hot in the sun too!!!probly not a good idea to take up "hill running" when your 23 wks preggers.

about once or twice a month we have to give lovey bear a bath in the washing machine...and theres no sneaky way to do this...it is the most traumatizing event in our house,and mckinley cries and worries the whole time its happening.I dread it,but after putting it off all week,this morning was THE DAY.i showed her how dirty he was,and explained that his ears and face needed to be washed and talked about how clean and how good he would smell,AND fianlly convinced her to thro him in...it took about 5 minutes,and once she let him go,she started to cry but promptly ran off to find his stand-in (tony bear).as soon as the washer stopped she ran to get him and i spent the next 5 minutes trying to convince her that we needed to dry him and she FINALLY put him in the dryer because she said he was cold.(:half an hour latr,when the dryer buzzed,(i didnt even hear it)but she was waiting and made a beeline for the dryer...she was VERY excited to see how clean Lovey's ears were and kissed him all over,and he has been tucked safely under her arm ever since and tony bear has been kicked to the curb once more.I came outta the bathroom awhile ago and found her fixing loveys hair with her play curling iron...he is being very well taken care of this afternoon and smothered in kisses from head to toe.

This morning Jenn and I ran our first race of the season,and we were SO excited...I tried for 3 bloody days to get a babysitter,and right when i was about to give up,the sweetest and most beautiful Emily volunteered to watch the chickens.

so here we are in all of our retardedness getting pumped up fo the race... quite the pair...the preggo and the stick girl

Here we are on the shuttle that we took from Fred Meyer west to the start point... no i didnt smoke weed before running the race,im not quite sure why i look so strung out...i was a little tired,maybe thats why.

So! My awasome ka-possam(teenage tyler speak) nephew Jonny went to town with me and the Chub today,to help me with gracery shopping and babysitting.He's the best helper ever,and his a very sweet spirit about it.The main thing was that i had to go to the ever-dreaded DMV and get my driver's liscence renewed,and it was nice to have a helping had with a squimy 2 yr old while waiting ing line for an hour.He's really good at entertaining squirmers.

After the DMV,we were starved cuz it'd been like 2 hours since we'd eaten,so we stopped at the Fred Meyer deli for some chicken strips and diet/cherry pepsi....mmm

The ever dreaded drivers liscence picture...that will last the next 6 years...even better that i had to get it taken while my face is extra chubby from being preggo.Im not gonna lie...i wrote down my pre-preggo weight,i thought it was only fair to me :P

We watched Phil and Jenns boys all day today while they were at the curriculum fair,and then spent the evening over there for youth group...it was really good.Bible study,snacks and games.

Happy 4th Anniversary Lamberts!

Last night the husband took the night off of work to take the wife out for our 4th anniversary...I had a list of places that we 'COULD' go ...Hilltop won out,

and although its not fancy,we hadnt been there in a long time,and it was one of our favorites while we were dating.So it has sentimental value,but more importantly REALLY GOOD CHEESEBURGERS!(:

i even remebered to take a picture or the yumminess BEFORE i desicrated it...can you just smell it?It was just as good as we imagined and remembered it would be...

after we stuffed after we ourselves with the tastiest burgers of all time,and i entertained my husband with some hilarious stories and antics because we were all hyped up on soda,(we rarey drink soda)we hit the pie cabinet and split a peice of fatman's pie....oh man it was so good....it has a walnut and shortbread crust and cream cheese chocolate filling,with choco chips on top the whipped cream...heaven!!!

we were gonna go do some night bowling afterwards,but since we got done eating at 8,and the open bowling didnt start till 9,we opted out....instead,we wandered around sportasman and dreamt of all the camping equitment on our wishlist for this summer,and then spent some time browsing barns and noble the rest the evening....it might not soudn that exciting,but it actually was since we didnt have a 2 year old in tow.(Thanks to our lovely babysitter,Kluane)

All in all,it was a great night.We had fun being silly,and spending some quality time together,and not being at a fancy restraunt totally took all the pressure off,so it was perfect(:

But we had a blast walking/running this morning,despite the 24 degree temp!

My hips were killing me from running on the pavement yesterday,such a difference from the treadmill,but i had so much more energy this morning than yesterday,so it felt great anyways...

we walked a mile,ran a mile,and walked a mile...

hopefully Tori's knee doesnt swell up,and we can run more tomorrow!

Im pretty sure we burned a couple thousand calories running our mouths too!(: We hadnt talked since Saturday,after all!!!(:

RUN PREGGO RUN!

So today was my first run of the year OUTSIDE on the bike path...ive been back at my running this week,but im having a harder time with it suddenly.

I was little skiddish after the cramping issues i had last week,so i took it easy this past weekend...did a little low impact strength and cardio,and rested up over the weekend.I got back on the treadmill Monday and did a mile and a half,and had no issues... Josh said no way would i only run ONE MILE,but i did,and walk a half....i felt great,but didnt want to push it,so i took Tuesday off,and today i hit the pavement...i did my regular3 miles,but did alot of walking intervals and it WORE ME OUT!!!I couldnt believe how much different it felt on the pavement...my arms were numb by the time i was done,because it was 35 degrees outside,but it was SO invigorating!i loved being outside again in the fresh air and the open road!

Tomorrow morning Tori is gonna meet me at 6 in the morning,and hopefully were gonna hit the pavement again...if it ends up being too cold,well justdo a video,but im hoping we can be outside!what a great way to start the day!She hasnt run in a few months because of a knee injury,so hopefully we'll be compatible enough...im afraid she's gonna be shocked at how lame i am since we last ran together in Hawaii!Im excited to workout with a buddy though,and if nothing else we'll be able to get our talk on while we walk!were pretty good at that!(:

While i was running today,i felt embarressed for the first time in awhile that all the cars passing me probably thought i was just a fatty

Josh and I picked up an awesome bike rack for the back of our Suby for 20 bucks on craigslist...were pretty excited that we are true Alaskans now...WHOOT!Weve got some serious trail riding planned this summer...we both have really nice mountain bikes,and plan to make good use of them,once we get some of them nice cushy shorts that give you the most amazing bubble butt ever!

my belly is getting pretty huge now...but im gonna wait till 20 weeks to post the next pic, mostly cuz i want it to be super impressive next to my 14 weeker(:

Tonight Josh asked his two best girls on a date to the outdoor show,and we had a grand ol time(: In Alaska we love the time of year the outdoor show comes around,signaling the arrival of spring and the coming summer fun! Afterward,we had a little time to kill before we had to drop the daddy off at work,so we ran over to barns and noble to pretend like we were book-reading type of people.We have fun doing that once or twice a year...I found some cute journals on sale,and since i needed a new one(even though i have about 10 unused old ones,but m tired of looking at them)i bought one to employ as my new Prayer Journal im determined to start...my sister gave me the idea of a prayer scrapbook,so maybe ill go that route.Isn't it adorable???

While we were waiting on Josh to get done browsing(my attention span in a book store has always been about 10 minutes)Mckinley and I read this cute little store on th floor.She was pretty determined to "show it to daddy" when we got done...she walked right up to him and determinedly asked him if she coul have it.Since we are pretty excited to have a child that is interested in books(unlike her simple parents)we said yes of course.We had to read it again before she went to bed...per her request(:

My mommy bought me this awesome plant for my birthday last year...i cant believe i have managed to keep it alive this long!!!Had a few close calls with the grim reaper,but it is now thriving in the sunshine at my new house,and it started getting bigger sincewe moved,so i finally went out and bought a bigger and prettier pot for it(it was still in white plastic one from the store!oops!).The Pot changed the way the whole plant looked,and now im in love!(:

Had a really good time with my sister in Anchorage...we had to eat at Red Robins of course...my Bonzai Burger was AMAAAAZING!(:

So was my Hawaiian Heartthrob...but best of all was the company!

So since i changed me background from "pyzam" to "the cutest blog on the block" my paragraphs in my posts are all mushing together...anybody know how i can fix this issue???
