health,wealth,and ...laundry detergent???

ok so ever since we've gone organic, ive been trying to figure out how to save more money, while at the same time being as helthy as possible.laundry soap has been one of the hardest things to swallow...i just couldnt jutify paying 10 dollars for a tiny bottle of seventh generation laundry deteregent.but then i also couldnt justify the health risks i was putting my family at by washing our close in toxins such as aluminum.aluminum is used in laundry soap and deoderant, and is very much suspected to be the main factor in breast cancer.so what do you do???

well ill tell you what I did.i began researching how to make my own laundry soap.what i found amazed me,and it was so easy!and cheap!i made a batch of laundry soap in about 10-15 minutes, and it should last me for months...it made about 2 gallons total, and the main ingredient was water(: the website i got it off of broke down the cost and your paying less than a dollar for an entire batch!and it should last months!plus u have all the ingrediants on hand for your next 10-15 batches!how do you like that?i tried out my soap the other day and my clothes came out smelling super fresh(: heres the recipe if anyone is interested in saving a ton of money and being super healthy!(i found all the ingredients at fred meyers in the laundry section)

1/2 cup of borax
1/2 cup of washing soda
1/3 bar fels naptha soap
you can use ivory too but it takes the whole bar
if you want to add a scent, add any flavor of essential oil you want...lavender,sandlewood,lemon...

grate and melt soap in 6 cups of warm water in pan.add washing soda and borax and stir until dissolved.remove from heat.pour four cups hot water into a big bucket...now add soap mixture and stir.then add one gallon and 6 cups more water, stir, and let gel for 24 hours.use 1/2 cup for one load of laundry.

my next experiment will be deoderant...ive been reseaching it and it seems pretty easy to make as well.they say all the lumps they are finding in womens breast's are along the outside edges by the armpit where you put your deoderant...probably from the aluminum.ill let you all know how this next experiment goes.
