28 weeks pregnant - Week by Week Pregnancy Calendar -- Pregnancy Calendar -- WhatToExpect.com

mckinley is already in love with her baby sister...she kisses and hugs on my stomach all the time and tries to "give" the baby stuff through my stomach(toys,snacks,etc...)

28 weeks pregnant - Week by Week Pregnancy Calendar -- Pregnancy Calendar -- WhatToExpect.com: "Your Baby in Week 28 of Pregnancy
Your baby is settling into the proper position for birth, with his head facing downward (toward your body's nearest exit!). Your little work in progress is now about 2.5 pounds and almost 16 inches long. He's busy adding new skills such as blinking to an already impressive repertoire of tricks like coughing, sucking, hiccuping, and taking practice breaths. Your baby's sleep now includes the REM (rapid eye movement) phase — and that means he could be dreaming already (what do you suppose he's dreaming about?)."

Pregnancy Calendar Week 27

yah...this is how i feel every time i get on the scale these days(: ugh...13 loooong and uncomfortable weeks to go...cant go fast enough for me at this point...so glad im gonna be busy the next few weeks,im ready to be done with this pregnancy like, yesterday.

Pregnancy Calendar Week 27: "Your not-so-tiny-anymore baby (2 pounds and 14.5 inches long!) is slowly rotating in preparation to “head out” for the grand entrance on their birthday!
Now obviously, this doesn’t happen overnight, but when you start to feel a new sort of pressure 'down there' (aka your cervix), you’ll know you’ve got a fully flipped locked-n-loaded womb-fruit waiting for the countdown to launch!
If you feel like they're still not flipped, don't worry, you've still got time.
Impressive physical developments of the week: your child's lungs are already capable of breathing air as their vascular system can now handle oxygen/carbon exchange and their brain stem can now regulate rhythmic breathing as well as their basal body temperature!
For what it’s worth, at this point in a healthy pregnancy - if you were to give birth prematurely, your tiny fighter could easily win on the show: “Survivor: The Early Years.”
Go ahead, give your belly a gentle hi-five!"

stuff and nonsense

This is a common sight around our house...daddy-daughter angry birds competitions on the iphones...to gnarley peas in a far out pod

Its planting season in Alaska...if only we could grow our chubs in terracotta pots!!!

26 Weeks Pregnant - Baby's Growth and Development in the 26th Week of Pregnancy - StrongMoms

getting a little swollen...and tired...

26 Weeks Pregnant - Baby's Growth and Development in the 26th Week of Pregnancy - StrongMoms: "By the 26th week of pregnancy, your baby weighs 1 1/2 to 2 pounds, and is about the length of a small pineapple.
Your baby's eyebrows and eyelashes are well formed.
His eyes are fully developed — he will start to open and close them at around 28 weeks.
The hair on his head grows and thickens.
Little footprints and fingerprints form.
He starts using his lungs to mimic breathing.
Essential fats accumulate under his skin."

Spelt Muffins - any fruit | The Fresh Loaf

If any of you like to bake with spelt, you know it can be tricky to find great recipe's,and even trikier to alter regular recipe's,but ive been doing it long enough that i have a small collection of really great one's now...this is my latest, and i am so impressed...first i made this recipe with pumpkin, and it was a big hit, then i treid it again with bananas, blueberries, and apples....all came out delicous i was really impressed...i also added organic dark chocolate chips to the pumkin and banana muffins, and coconut to the banana also...amazing results...theres a little bit of brown sugar in the base batter, but other than that,SUPER healthy, tasty, and very versatile!!!

I also have some great recipe's for spelt pizza crust, pie crust,,and homade bread...ive tried a zillion spelt bread recipes, and finally found a winner, which can also be used for rolls and cinnamon rolls...if anybody is interested in any one these, let me know and ill post them!!!

Pregnancy Calendar Week 25

ITS GOING BY SO FAST AND SLOW AT THE SAME TIME!!!I DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT....THE DAYS ARE GOING BY SLOWLY,BUT THE WEEKS ARE PASSING QUICKLY...TWO MORE WEEKS AND I WILL BE OUT OF MY 2ND TRIMESTER,AND WORKING ON THE FINAL ONE!THATS SO CRAZY TO ME! IM ABOUT TO HAVE ANOTHER KID!I KNOW THE NEXT 2 MONTHS ARE GONNA FLY,MOVING OUT OF THIS PLACE THIS MONTH,AND INTO OUR NEW HOUSE NEXT MONTH...I WILL BE NICE AND BUSY,SO THATS PRETTY AWESOME.

Pregnancy Calendar Week 25: "Your little grower’s physical proportions are pretty much birth-ready and most of their remaining development will largely be weight gain and a ton of nervous system development.
The good news is: if your child were to be born premature, they’d likely survive without much trauma as their lungs started producing “surfactant” last week, which means their tiny respiratory system is getting stronger with each passing day.
Yes, now’s a good time for a minor sigh of relief and a quick pat on the back. All that hard work and conscientious living is really getting your child prepared for a healthy delivery.
In mobile-fetus news: your baby should be scootching slowly out of the breech position (head upright, with their butt-n-legs down by your pelvis) and start rotating around for a head-first exit through the birth canal.
If all goes well, and your little womb hi-jacker isn't a contrary one, they'll be locked-n-loaded in the next few weeks!
Time is short (or really long, depending on who you ask) — just (still!) 14 weeks left before you can go back to being a single-resident human... with one tiny brand-spankin' new family member!"

Dont stare at this picture too terribly long...his hotness might burn your eyeballs out...yummy(:

mommy jenn and the Reubenater

It took us the better part of the afternoon/evening to fourwheel into the camp spot...we took the old trail on the way in,kinda by accident, and were 4wheeling through mud and tundra most the way...it was pretty rough and we were SO tired by the time we got there...the last quarter mile was the worst, when we took the wrong turn and sunk the trailers and wheelers in mud and couldnt get them out...then it started pouring rain,so me and jenn took the kids and hiked out up to the cabins while the guys tried to get the wheelers out...they ended up hauling all of our soaked gear up by fourwheelers, and left the trailers till morning.we were all starving and soaked,so we got a fire blazing to dry out,and made yummy burgers...then we were all sweltering cuz it got too hot in the tiny cabin, and couldnt get the woodstove to cool off so we opened all the windows, which helped it stay cooler, but let all the mosquitoes in all night to torture and feast on us...yes you guessed it...screenless windows.wonder of wonders.when it finally cooled off at around 4 in the morning,(nobody had been able to sleep at all,not even the babies)we finally got up and closed the windows and spent half an hour killing the hoards of mosquitos and were able to get a few hours of sleep.Jenn and I got up around 8 with the kids and fed them breakfast, while these 3 sloths below moaned and groaned through another hour of comatose sleep.

I had a great picture of davy here, not sure what happend to it ):

Breakfast!oranges and multigrain chocolate chip and pumpkin muffins!yummo!(:

we got up around 3;30 the next morning(thanx to josh and phil) because nobody could sleep in the hot mosquito infested cabin anyways...we were on the trail by abt 5;30,it was a little chilly bt so beautiful out,and this time found the nice new trail we shouldve taken originally... we were back to the truck by 7;30 am and drove home for a nice comfy nap in our own beds(: despite all the things that went wrong,it was still a fun family trip,we had lots of laughs, and got some sunshine amongst the bugbites, kept good attitudes and made some fun memories(:
