Happy Holidays

So here's the thing...I love me some Christmas.
Not just Christmas itself, but I love the holiday seaason...it gives me an excuse to be crafty, try new decorating ideas...listen to the best kind of music, drink the yummiest hot drinks, shop, shop, and shop some more...spend lots of time with my favorite people-MY FAM ...be silly with my siblings...
send special pakages, and spoil all the little kids rotten(: I love the holiday food, all the baking, the yummy candles, the fun memories, all the planning and laughter. Its my favorite time of year!

So today I helped Heidi turn her house into a holiday wonderland, and then came home to work on mine for the evening...I dont have much, we've been too poor the past few years to splurge on alot of decor,so i just find a few things every year and add them to my collection.

Heres a few shots of my favorite ornaments....as you can tell,im a big fan of snowmen. they are just so adorable... this is my make-shift tree topper...i like to imagine he's singing at the top of his lungs on top of my tree(:

Me and Mac decorated the window together the other night...she had so much fun...

my pretty litte girl(: just thought i'd throw a shot of her in cuz i think she's too cute

the snowman plate is one of my new peices this year...i would like to get the whole set...theres three more..."magic" "wish" and ...arrrgh!!!cant remember the fourth...any ways...heidi got me the matching mugs...but i dont get them till later(:

i adore these gifts bags...so i took my pictures down and hung them on my wall...cheap decor, plus i can use them later on!(:

these three are new also...got them on sale for a little over a dollar a peice!

my "street light" (:

if you know much about me,you know im a big martha stewart fan...as a matter of fact, her encyclopedia of sewing and crafts is on the top of my christmas wish list....

i got this idea from a martha stewart book...i used to use this book shelf as my pantry becasue i have very little cabinet space in my kitchen...but i HATED the messy look of it...so i took martha stewarts idea of displaying your dishes while at the same time employing visible storage space, and made my kitchen over!i put the food in the enclosed cabinets, and im so much happier with the way my kitchen looks now(:

Well, thats what ive been up to!hope you enjoye the update, and Happy Thanksgiving to All!!!

Nice and festive, Ang. So, guess what? I have a Snowman like your Christmas topper! Found it at a yard sale, for cheap...
Mine has a blue scarf and hat. :) Guess our tastes in snowmen are similar.

Ooo! The idea of putting the food in the closed cabinets and your pretty plates & other things on the open cabinet is awesome! It looks so pretty!
Your house is decorated so cute! I thought that your bags were painted wood frames from the picture! It took me reading the post to see that they weren't. They look great!
You look beautiful! Love the glasses :)
