Fetal Development Week by Week – Week 32
Your baby now weighs about 4 pounds and measures about 17 inches. If you’re feeling kicks in your ribcage it probably means that baby has finally moved into the head down position that 96% of babies are born in. Don’t worry if this hasn’t happened yet, you still have a few weeks left for baby to move.
During baby’s awake times their eyes are open and looking around. When they are sleeping their eyes are closed. Eye color is usually blue right now, but this will change with exposure to light, and then it can change again a few months after birth.
Little boys testicles are descending into the scrotum now. Sometimes this doesn’t happen until after birth, but this condition usually corrects itself. Baby’s immune system is starting to develop now and sometimes the fingernails are so long that they will scratch themselves.
White fat is continuing to accumulate now. This helps baby’s skin appear more pink and diminishes the wrinkly appearance of your little one’s skin.
If you haven’t already gotten a list together of the things you need to take with you to the hospital you should start now. Ask your health practitioner what signs to watch for to indicate you are in labor and when they would like for you to call their office. Be sure and ask what the procedure for contacting them is once you think you are in labor.

9 weeks left
Week 31 of Pregnancy
As your baby's senses increase, his mommy's breathing room decreases.Chances are your diaphragm is feeling a little cramped these days. Okay, a lot cramped. That's because your uterus is pushing up against it, crowding your lungs and making it more difficult for them to expand fully. The result: Your body is spare on air, and will be until your baby drops near the end of pregnancy in preparation for birth. Your baby, however, is happy as a clam since he gets all the oxygen he needs through the placenta. Weighing in at three-plus pounds and measuring 18 inches long, he's quickly approaching his birth length though he's got to pack on another three to five pounds before D-day. Also developing at an impressive clip: your baby's brain connections (he's got to make trillions of them!). He's now processing information, tracking light, and perceiving signals from all five senses. He's also putting in longer stretches of sleep, which is why you're probably noticing more defined patterns of awake (and moving) periods and sleeping (pretty still) periods
Your baby now weighs about 3.3 pounds and measures about 17 inches. Growth will begin to slow down now, but the average weight of babies at birth is around 7 pounds.
Baby is opening and closing their eyes this week. A brain scan would show that your baby is probably having dreams now. Lungs are quickly developing now, getting ready for full time work after birth. White fat is now being deposited beneath the skin, which helps make baby’s skin look pink.
By now you should be seeing your health practitioner every two weeks. Your doctor or midwife will be checking your blood pressure and any swelling in your arms and legs, measuring the baby, asking you about how the baby is moving around and keeping close tabs on you and the baby in general. They’ll start paying attention to what position the baby is in now, as the birth gets closer. About 96% of babies born are born head first. The rest are born breech with the buttocks or feet coming first. Having a breech birth does not mean an automatic cesarean section, but be sure and talk with your doctor or midwife if you are concerned. It’s probably time for you to remove your rings, if you have not already done so, because with swelling it can become very hard to remove these later.

the smell...the awful smell...
ok...i think i found a cure...on top of the glade plug ins,the candles, and the simmering potpourri,i put some vanilla on the stove to simmer, and made a pot of really strong coffee...it seems to be doing the trick...i can barely smell the broccoli now....thank goodness...its disappating...
WEEK 30
Man my belly is getting swollen...I cant believe im on week 30...i only have 10 weeks left...maybe...
wow thats scary...guess the countdown has begun.
My body is gettting tired and my back is always hurting.I finish work on saturday,im so very very glad...the girls at work threw me a little surprise baby shower/potluck yesterday.it was very sweet...needless to say,she got plenty of hairstuff and hats from all my hairdresser freinds(:
Ill post some pictures of my belly and gifts later on today.
i didnt sleep much last night,i felt sick all night and had a terrible headache, because i burnt the broccoli last night and the wretched smell is permeating my house.I can barely breathe and i have glade plugins, candles and potporri all going at once, and i can still smell it.I dont have to go to work today, but i might have to leave just to get away from this awful smell.
I got all our Christmas shopping and projects finished up this week, except one, that i plan to finish today, because its an at-home project.I even got eveything wrapped last night.Man im glad thats over...its always fun,but its always a ton of work too.guess thats what makes it all mean something.
Fetal Development Week by Week – Week 30
Your baby now weighs about 3 pounds and measures 16.2 inches. Things are started to get cramped inside the uterus at this point, and the baby is really in the fetal position – with knees bent and their chin touching the chest. Soon baby will move into the head down position getting ready for their delivery.
Babies do not usually have 20/20 vision when they are born. Their eyes are well developed and they are reacting to light, but most children do not have 20/20 vision until they are between seven and nine years old.
The brain is continuing to grow and make connections between nerve cells. Baby’s digestive tract is nearly complete now and the lungs are nearly fully developed as well. Lanugo continues to disappear now and the hair on their little heads is coming in. Some babies are born with a full head of hair!
Sleeping on your left side is probably the most comfortable position for you now, as it will help remove some of the pressure on the nerves and blood vessels in your back. It may seem as if everyone has a horror story to tell you now about her labor and birth. Just remember that every birth is different and don’t feel shy about asking people to keep the stories to themselves if they bother you. You might also find that complete strangers feel the need to touch your belly – everyone gets excited as the birth of your little one grows closer.

NEW APARTMENT
Well we're officially in our new place now...we spent all day busting our tails on saturday so that we could be out that night, and then we went to my christmas party, that lasted 5 hours!!!its was jusst dinner and a gift exchange, but one couple was really late,so everybody waited to order food until they showed up.it was a nice party, but we were already exhausted by the time we got there from working all day,so by the time we got home and got our last van load unloaded,it was after midnight, and we couldnt even see straight.so yesterday morning at church,we were pretty much zombies, and real sore.
But the good news is,now we can clean the other place in the next few days, and get our deposit back, and be done with it BEFORE we leave for christmas in ninilchik.of course theres alot to do here in the new place, its pretty much a wreck, but now that im here i can work on it at my own pace.
so.anyways....im excited to be neighbors with my mom(: as a matter of fact, this morning im supposed to go down and help her decorate for christmas ,so i better get off of here and get going!!!(: once i get done with that,im off to town to finish christmas shopping and projects, and and then the gym,and then meet josh after he gets off to help him clean the old apartment.just another busy day...smiles...

Heres a saying to consider..."A christian life without fear is just a religous life without a living God." The Bible says "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"(Psalm 111;10) He says it again in Proverbs, over and over...
We should definetly live with the knowledge that our actions reap consequences, and if we're making sinful choices in our lives,we and the people around us that we love, are going to reap the consequences for years to come.
Consider these words as you make seemingly small and big choices throughout your day.
"Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade
Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see"

I was pleased to discover that cheerios is now making a multigrain version, and i splurged and got a box...i never get cereal, and if i do,its usually spelt flakes or kashi granola,so i really woke up looking forward to breakfast this morning(: i wantd to eat the whole box...it was delicious.
Ive got a full day at work today, and pretty much everyday for the next 2 weeks, and i really wish i hadnt committed to work through december.i shoulda quit in november, because its getting so hard to be on my feet for hours at a time.its amazing how fast it happens.probably just cuz ive been so busy at work with the holidays, but im really startn to feel this baby puttin on weight, and i just wanna be at home where i can rest more...but soon....pray that my back makes it 2 more weeks!!!

sorry dont have much time to post this week ladies,we're trying to get out of our place by this weekend, and we're packing and cleaning furiously...its quite exhausting...but hopefully by next week things will settle down a bit...i cant wait for this move to be over!!!have a great week(:
week 29
Your baby's head is in proportion with body now. He appears more like a newborn each and every day!
Fat continues to accumulate under the skin -- only now preparing for entering the *real world*.
Your baby's brain can control primitive breathing and body temperatures.
His eyes can move in their sockets. Soon he will be able to follow a blinking light.
Your baby is increasingly sensitive to changes in light, sound, taste, and smell! Various studies show that your baby may indicate preferences (or disdain) for particular tastes or odors at this stage
He is also moving from side to side, but probably still is head up. In the next few weeks, he will move to the head down birthing position. At times you may feel as if he is performing somersaults for a circus act!
Her length is now approximately 15.2 inches (38.6cm) and weight is 2.54 pounds (1153gm)

Week 28!!!
This week your baby weighs about 2 ½ pounds and measures around 15 inches long. During the last four weeks the weight of your baby has nearly doubled. The baby is moving around a lot these days, but soon this will slow down as the baby starts to run out of room inside your uterus.
The smooth brain tissue continues to develop folds and wrinkles as it increases in mass. Brain functions include breathing and maintaining body temperature. Lanugo hair is starting to disappear over the body, but eyebrows, eyelashes and the hair on their head is growing. Bone marrow has taken over the production of red blood cells from the liver at this point. Muscle tone is improving and the baby’s body is filling out with warming body fat.
The third trimester is filled is aches and pains and general discomfort for many women. Some of the complaints you might suffer from include heartburn, varicose veins, hemorrhoids and indigestion. Knowing that you are closely approaching the birth of your baby can help you make it through these trying last few weeks.
Your health practitioner may order blood work at twenty-eight weeks and if you haven’t had a blood glucose screening done yet this may be done. Blood glucose screening helps determine if you have gestational diabetes.

and the doctor said...
i had my baby checkup this morning, and everything went very well...gained a little more weight then last time, but she said thats normal, and she is very pleased with my overall weight gain...
we also did my glucose test this morning, checking for gestational diabetes, but wont have the results from that for a few days.i think the baby liked the sugary soda they made me drink, cuz she got real hyper after i took it(: and usually shes not much of a morning person, kinda like her mamma(:
anywayz, the move to north pole is progressing very nicely, weve take two loads of stuff out,and are half out of this place, and half into our other place...i think its going to go pretty fast, josh is really working hard with every spare minute he has...unfortunately he has to do most or it himself, because my back cant handle much.this week ty is going to help us move some furniture, since he has a truck, and we are just cleaning and unpacking as we go,since we have a few weeks to make the move...its a nice way to move, gradually.seems to be working.
our poor cat doesnt know what to think,he's such a baby,im sure moving into a new place is just gonna traumatize the snot out of him(: especially because theres no carpet over there, everything is hardwood floors(: it should be funny(: hes already acting weird,i think he knows things are changing.
hope everybody has a great monday, talk to yall later!!!!!!!!

BIG NEWS
So for those of you who dont know,we are moving back to north pole.December is our last month in fairbanks. My parents offered to let us rent their apartmartment, above the garage next door to them, and the offer came at just the right time.Josh and i feel that it is a huge blessing from the Lord, right when we needed it most.
Alot has happened recently to encourage this decision.I wont share all the details, but its going to benefit us alot.Living in fairbanks has been really nice while it lasted, but we both feel its time to move on.its going to be a temporary situation, but it will get us through the winter, and spring,(until josh has a better job)which was going to be a tough time, and we werent sure hw we were gonna make it.
Josh is starting the police academy in febuary, just a few weeks before the baby is due,and he'll be out of work for three months until he finishes.then with the baby coming, and me quitting my job this month,it just kinda worked out.i wont be needing to drive to town every day for work, and my mom will be right next door if i need her to help me when i have the baby, since josh will be in school, and unable to take time off.
Our landlord in fairbanks raised our rent unexpectedly last month, and it came at the worst possible time, because josh STILL hasnt gotten the raise hes been promised all year, and we had just topped ourselves off with medical bills that we're trying like crazy to get paid off.it seems like they never end.between my back problems and his weird zombie rot diseases,anyways...you get the point.and then im quitting my job at the end of december,so thats even less income.
the point is,were getting a beautiful two bedroom apartment thats comperable in size to the one were in,and saving a ton of money, and have much nicer neighbors!(: hehehe
and im gonna get to show off all my cute baby outfits to my mom everyday when i get her dressed up all cute!im actually really excited to be back in north pole especially for spring and summer...its so much prettier out there, and at least we can go outside without the fear of being shot or mugged or whatever.
the part im not excited about is moving.in the dead of winter.in the next three weeks.being 7 month pregnant.with a bad back.etc...i hate moving.and im gonna miss our apartment.its been such a nice cozy first home.but i know itll be worth it.if i can make it through the move.josh said he'll do everything, but just setting up a house is a ton of work.and alot of it just might not get done till after the baby comes.
the best benefit of all...IM GONNA HAVE A WASHER AND DRYER(: YESSS!!!!!!!!
so anyways, yall pray for us,weve got alot going on right now,and even though were know the Lord is in it,making big decisions is always scary.Change is good.Scary.but good.

Happy Tuesday
Well,Josh's parents and Grandma made it to town safe and sound yesterday, and Jenn cooked us all dinner last night at their house. She made a lovely sourkraut roast with potatoes and carrots, her yummy yeast rolls, which are gonna be the death of the family, and a salad. It was a nice family gathering, but we didnt stay out long cause everybody was so tired.
Antia brought me two adorable pinks baby outfits and a super soft pink baby blanket for my little sea monkey...who is kicking like crazy as i type...she doesnt like it when to laptop pokes my tummy...she gets all feisty if you poke her...(:
Today ive managed to get most of my thanksgiving cooking done. We're all pitching in on the big family meal at mom and dads house so that nobody has to do too much work by themselves. I made Velveeta mashed potatoes, and they're all ready to heat up in a casserole dish, and then I made two batches of spelt rolls.Jenn and Natasha are making rolls too,so we should have enough rolls to feed an army.but you can never have too many rolls, cuz you need leftovers!!!(: Plus we all make different kinds,so its nice to have variety. So my rolls are in the freezer and ready to go, and so are the cookies that jonny and davy helped me make, that we plan on serving(maybe forcefeeding, theyre kinda scary) to the grandparents on thanksgiving(:
The only thing i have left to work on is my Eggnog Cheesecake, which hopefully i can get done tomorrow after work.everythings coming together nicely,im really looking forward to thursday!
Right now im working on finishing my laundry for the week, most of which was done yesterday, and all i have left to do today is go to the gym.yay!it should be a nice relaxing evening with just me and the hubby at home, which im looking forward to amidst all the holiday crazinesss(:
Im gonna make mooseburgers for dinner which is real easy, and my house is all clean already. How nice.anyways....i guess i better be off...im totally procrastinating on the gym today, thats probly why im posting about stuff that i usually dont...so off i go...talk to you all tomorrow!!!

27 weeks
You’ve made it to the final trimester now, only 10 weeks to go! Your baby now weighs about 2 pounds and is about 14 inches long. They look like a fully formed baby at this point, only smaller and very thin. Survival, if born now, is around the 85% chance rate. Baby will go through another growth spurt now and may have predictable periods of sleep now.
The ears are covered the waxy substance called vernix which may muffle the sounds that they hear. Some experts believe that babies begin to dream at week 28, because the brain is so very active now. Brain tissue is developing rapidly.
It’s possible to hear the baby’s heartbeat by just placing an ear on your abdomen at this point! Lungs have developed enough that they could function outside of the womb and the central nervous system is well formed.
Amniotic fluid and the absence of fat on your baby’s body makes their skin appear wrinkly at this time. Baby will continue to fill out after they are born and begin to gain newborn weight

THANKFULNESS
Isnt it so much easier to be discontent than it is to be thankful?it seems to come so naturally, the worldly way of thinking,"if only i had this,id be happy.""If only i had what she had,id be content."
I know its not thanksgiving yet,but i think its silly to wait for one particular holiday to practice thanksgiving.Paul admonished us..."for I have learned in whatsoever state i am,therewith to be content." Im pretty sure he wasnt just in a good mood here, and so he felt content. This verse implies that it didnt come naturally.Im convinced that if we practice thankfulness,on a daily basis, that contentment and joy will be ours. And practice make perfect!!!(:
In my devotion today,I read that Joy begins with contentment.ive been kinda feeling sorry for myself lately, because i feel fat,im discouraged about my sister,i hate the cold and darkness, etc.
But this morning ive determined to be thankful for all the wonderful things in my life, and im already smiling, and its not even light out yet!!!(:
Im so thankful for my wonderful God,because no matter how far from Him i stray, hes always there waiting for me to come back, and He is never unfaithful.isnt it nice to have such a solid Rock in your life?
Im so thankful for my hardworking husband, who,no matter how much he hates his job,and how unfairly he gets treated at work, gets up everyday and goes back out there to provide for me and our little one.Im so thankful that he comes home to me every night, and that he wants to,and is content to be here.
Im so thankful for my baby, even though shes making me fat,and uncomfortable, and sometimes i can hardly breathe or sleep.I cant wait to meet her in Febuary, and im so thankful that shes healthy and ive made it this far!!!
Im thankful for my parents, and i wish i had acted more grateful to them when i was younger. Im just beginning to realize how wise and loving they really are,and were, despite being convinced when i was younger that they were just trying to run my life and make me miserable.Im so thankful that they protected me from the world, and taught me how to make good choices.Im still learning from them everyday. Its all starting to make sense(:
This post is long enogh.I hope everybody will practice Thankfulness and Contentment with me today, and just see if it doesnt make a difference in your outlook and attitude.Love you all!!!
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,...and be ye thankful."Colossians 3;15

26 WEEKS!!!
Your baby now weighs about 2 pounds and is about 13 inches long. You’ve reached the end of your second trimester and now time may seem to crawl along as you wait through these final weeks. Just remember that soon you will have a new little one to hold and love!
This week the eyes are opening and beginning to blink. Before now, the eyes have been sealed shut so that they can continue to develop the retina. Baby’s eye color, depending on their coloring and ethnic background, may be dark or brown, or they could be grayish blue. Depending on your baby their eyes may change colors during the first few months after birth. Eyelashes are growing now, as is the hair on their head.
Taste buds are continuing to develop and they are improving their sucking and swallowing motions. Brain waves become stronger this week, which affects the vision and hearing. The smooth brain is now forming grooves and valleys.
The bronchial tract develops this week and the lungs are growing. If your baby were born now, it would have an 85% chance of survival, but the lungs are still very immature. Little boy’s testes have completely descended at this point and although your baby is rapidly putting fat on their body, the skin is still very thin and the veins are visible.
